There is a widely held misconception amongst a lot of people who believe that conservatories and orangeries are only useful during the summer months. This may have been the case many years ago when these form of extensions were made of materials that were poor conductors of heat. Orangeries in Leeds and conservatories in Leeds are now made up predominantly respectively of brickwork and uPVC. Both of these materials are designed to keep any heat generated trapped inside, whether it is from the heat of the sun or a heater that you may have installed within them.
The orangery is seen as a pretty new concept to some people, but it has in fact been around for years and is only recently gaining the…
West Yorkshire based Conservatory, Window & Door Outlet recently extended its showroom to display six conservatories. This, they say, is in direct response to the increase in interest shown by homeowners in extending and improving their homes rather than moving properties.

Here is a basic outline of exactly why old windows need to be replaced at the earliest opportunity.
Draughts
When we feel cold in the home what is the first thing you usually do? Turn up your heating system of course. But, old windows are typically only made with one pane of glass and the majority of the heat generated will pass through the glass, therefore wasting this valuable source of energy and increasing your energy bills.

You can also have an input over the position of doors and colour of uPVC used.
